The national pay negotiators for UNISON, GMB and Unite plan to meet next on 13/11/23 to decide formally whether or not to accept the £1925 flat rate pay offer made by the employers. This date may be brought forward if the outcome of the GMB industrial action ballot due to finish on 24/10/23 is that industrial action is not supported. It would thus be expected that GMB would join UNISON in voting to accept the pay offer.
UNISON nationally will vote on 13/11/23 (or before) for the pay increase offer to be accepted immediately as per the outcome of its own ballot. Staffordshire Branch activists share the dismay of members about the frustrating delays in getting the pay increase paid over to our long suffering members.
Unfortunately, the delay in getting the money paid over to members, the lengthy booking of negotiator meetings and the confusing timing of ballots are not things the Staffordshire Branch can influence otherwise we certainly would do so on your behalf!
