The There for You Seasonal Food Fund will be launched during the week, with a 24-hour window for requests that starts at 12 noon on Tuesday, 30 September 2025.

Who can apply?
Eligibility:
- Be a UNISON member who has paid at least four weeks of subscriptions by 30 September 2025 (and be up to date with payments).
- Not have received a UNISON Welfare grant since 30 March 2025 (except the Step into Spring Grant).
- Be receiving Child Benefit.
On top of that, one of these conditions needs to be met:
Option 1: Low income
Net household income is £28,205 a year or less (that’s no more than £2,350.42 a month).
Option 2: Receiving certain benefits
- Universal Credit
- Housing Benefit
- Child and/or Working Tax Credits
- Pension Credit
- Means-tested Jobseekers Allowance
- Means-tested Employment Support Allowance
- Income Support
Applications will open for 24 hours from 12 noon on Tuesday 30 September.
