UNISON will celebrate International Women’s Day with a lively event in Glasgow on 8 March 2023. The event is about celebrating the contributions of our care workers, cleaners, school workers, librarians, and administrators in their workplaces, their communities and in our union.
Guests can attend workshops, including historical walking tours of Glasgow and banner making, before joining in for music and entertainment in the evening.
Creche facilities will be available.
UNISON will be using the opportunity of IWD 2023 to celebrate the vital contributions that women in UNISON make. Their work is often underappreciated and undervalued, so we’re looking forward to meeting women from across UNISON to thank them for everything they do, day in and day out.
